Fulfilling The Great Commission
Course Description:
The task of "making disciples" has often been reduced to helping non-Christians "step over the line of faith" by praying "the sinner's prayer." Jesus said, " Anyone who wishes to come after Me must deny himself/herself, take up his/her cross, and follow Me." What does it mean to deny yourself? What cross must a person carry? How do we follow Jesus in a practical day to day way? Does the so-called "Great Commission" apply to us today or was Jesus specifically talking only to eleven men in the first century? This course offers advanced theological training on what it means to be a Christian.
Guiding Questions:
What does it really mean to be Jesus' disciple?
What does it take to "make disciples"?
How can we help the Church prioritize making disciples?
